Dear Friend
Your welcome favor of 4th wish cause only to hand was much pleased to hear from you and hope that on the next anniversary you may be permitted to be with us_ [?] and associations called up by your presence would be of the mash pleaseaun character.
I am sorry I cannot give your daughter a positive answer_ the position has been tedudered to a miss Dorris of Eugene City_ and I presume her acceptance is always a certainty- if we had known only for day earlier of your Daughters desire.
I think she would have received the appointment [?] [?].
In case of the mon- acceptance of miss Dorris H will be a pleasure to me to prep her claims _ will write as soon as I know.
Hoping to see you[?] [?] [?] day- with much respect
[?] Yours Very Truly
