A letter to a congressional colleague from U.S. Congressman Les AuCoin inviting them to join the U.S. House Task Force on Industrial Innovation. In his letter, Congressman AuCoin described the goals of the bipartisan task force as pushing "for legislation which encourages the best and most efficient use of the nation's vast economic and human potential, and also helps to step up the pace of development of new products and new technologies." The letter is also signed by Congressman James M. Shannon and Congressman W. Henson Moore. AuCoin served in the Oregon House of Representatives (1971-1975) and in the United States House of Representatives from Oregon's 1st District (1975-1993).
