Portrait of Flora Adams Pio and Charles Pio. Flora Adams' parents settled in Hillsboro in 1852, and Flora was born there in 1859. Flora and Charles were married in Hillsboro in 1879.
[Front] [stamped] McEvoy, 431 Washington St., Portland, Or. [Back] [blue pen] Flora Adams Pio and Husband Charles Pio. [black pen] married in 1879 -- Hillsboro at home of her parents. [pencil] Witness J. T. Griffin. Minister - H. Patterson. [blue pen] Catherne [sic] and Calvin Adams crossed the plains in 1852. Flora Adams, daughter, was born 1859 in Hillsboro. [black ink] Mrs. Flora Adams Pio was great aunt of Violet Pitman Rush. Cane shown in picture was given to the museum in 1966 by his son, Mr. Percy Pio. It's no. is 497 and it is on display at this time.
