Unidentified bride and groom

Title

Unidentified bride and groom

Description

Black and white image of a man and a woman standing next to a small table with an arrangement of roses in a vase. She wears a long white dress with a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves. A long veil drops down from her hat, extending several feet out on to the floor in front of her. She holds a bouquet of flowers. The groom wears a light-colored Army uniform with a shoulder patch that indicates he was a member of the 44th Infantry. The remainder of his insignia is indistinguishable. His hair is short, parted on the side, and combed back away from his face. The bride wears glasses and a pearl necklace, and her hair is short and curled. This image is part of the Herbert McMullen bequest. McMullen was a local photographer who owned a studio in Hillsboro; he also collected images of local life taken by other photographers.
